Thalidomide

Good Morning,
I have been reading alot of articles on the use of Thalidomide with Ironotecan. It works as an anti-angiogenesis much like Avastin does with Folfox. It was shown to improve the performance of Ironotecan. It has also shown some reduction in the gastrointestinal side effects caused by the Ironotecan (Camptosar). From what I am reading it is taken at night so it must be in pill form. They were primarily using it to treat myeloma but have found some benefit with colon cancer as well. Has anyone heard anything about this? Has anyone tried it? It's the drug that caused birth defects in the '60s. It caused those defects because it prevented growth of blood vessels that were necessary for limbs to form when the fetus was developing. Just searching for additional options. My Dad did get the diarrhea last night from his first treatment and he's very down because he did not really experience any side effects with Folfox. He was hoping this treatment would be the same way.
Best Wishes,
Deneen
