Good day everyone....I am an 8 year breast cancer survivor. Thank God. I had cancer in my left breast and in the last couple of years I experience a "burning pain" in the area of my surgery when I reach or streatch my left arm. The pain can be in my arm or in the area of the surgery. Has anyone else experienced this? My Dr. says "I have heard others say that"!!!!! Duh! Would love to hear from others who have esperienced this. God Bless.

I had a burning pain before I found out I had breast cancer. After surgery I had pain again where my incision was. I said something to my dr about it and his reply was it must be apart of the healing process. If it were me, I would have it checked out by someone else.

The dr also said that his dad was a dr and they agree that breat cancer isn't painful. I'd like to know how they know that since they don't really have breasts...hahahaha.

I do hope you get the answers you are looking for and CONGRATS on the 8 years. I am now going thru chemo with mine.

    Take care and be blessed!!

    Hello AuntBarb,
Congrats on 8 years! Thank God for that! I have never had breast surgery, however, I have had multiple surgeries related to leukemia treatment. In some of the areas, specifically the scar tissue areas, it can burn or feel like a painful pulling on skin if it is stretched. I hope the pain you are feeling is simple and can be resolved easily. Take care and God bless.

    Hi Pam,
I just want to tell you that I read an article online that was written by a man that read an article by someone who assumed breast cancer is not painful... so... my conclusion is that your breasts are not hurting and you should stop complaining... ok?........hehe... juuuust kidding!!!... yeah, I agree... I often wonder how doctors can say..."Oh BC is not painful"! Take care. God bless.

If you had radiation, pain can and does occur at any time, I'm not sure they even begin to tell us about pain following cancer treatment. Drs just expect we are all to be Happy, Happy to be alive. We are but wish they would listen a bit to the problems the treatments can cause. Hope this soon eases up for you. God Bless Linda
