Hi all, I was able to do another round of chemo today. That's the good news. I'm always glad when my counts are up enough to go through it. Never thought I'd be saying that I want to have chemo.Tumor seems to me to be shrinking, It might be wishful thinking. Anyhow, last few days, I've been having bad back pain. So, when I mentioned to chemo doctors nurse today, she talked to chemo doc, even though I wasn't even supposed to see him today, and he wants me to have MRI and bone scan. Please say a prayer, that this thing hasn't spread. I'm kinda scared right now. Also, his nurse said that he wants me to make sure that I take the morphine around the clock, which I haven't been doing. So, I promised her I would, so if I'm not here a lot, you know that I'm probably not feeling up to par. Love you guys and I'll let you know what I find out, as soon as I know.
Love and prayers, Judy(grandma047)

Hi honey! Judy.. you have been through sooo much as I've read your past post. Your so strong! Yes, of course I'll pray for you. Back pain can be caused by so many things, but good that your Dr. is taking precautions. I had one too, but was ok. Sometimes the Kidneys can cause back pain, and they just need to be flushed with B vitamins?? Who knows Stress?? All the best wishes here from me, and I'll be thinking about you. I won't be on-line too much myself as I go through my own tx's. Right now.. reading about detoxification for myself. (Fascinating) I care & you're in my prayers Judy!!! Luvnhugggs ~ Wanda

Thanks Wanda, You haven't been on this site long, but you've already become a part of us. You are so caring and seem to be able to answer everyone's posts and be here for everyone. I will be praying for you too. I read your previous post too. I don't always get to respond. Too much pain meds anymore and then they kinda got on to me too, because I'm not taking as much as I'm supposed to, but I want to be able to funcion. Looks like that may be limited for a while. Hang in there too Wanda. AGain, I'm praying for you too

    Dear Judy,
If the morphine round the clock makes you sick, as it eventually did me, ask if they would consider a fentanyl patch. I had a miraculous release from pain with it, with zero side effects. It's supposed to be changed from one spot to another every 3 days, it's like putting on a postage stamp, and you are pain free! You have so many other things attacking you....they didn't suggest this patch to me for a long, long time, until I asked for some relief from nausea, constant vomiting, heaving, etc. I hope you can use it too. Hang in there. You are a tough one!

Hi, I already have that patch and they're saying to use the morphine 30 round the clock and 15 for break thorugh pain too. So.....Can you imagine that patch plus the morphine. Way in outer space. They all do help the pain, but I can't function the way I want to. They say my body will adjust. I just wish it would hurry. LOL So I could shop, shop, shop, till I drop. hehehehe
The real woman in me coming out. LOL

Judy my mom had a lot of hip pain and they did the MRI and bone scan as a precaution since she has cancer. She was very anxious and stressed but it turned out to be arthritis. Keeping you in my thoughts.

    Dear Judy,

I'm so happy to hear about your good news. :)
I feel your anxiety about the back pain. I will turn my concern and worry into prayer. Please hanging in there. You are in my prayer everyday...
I wasn't able to get online for a while because of the strong side effects from the first round of chemo. Feeling better today and want to say hi to all the lovely friends in "semi-colon."

We all are tough people here. Like Kerry said: we can beat this diease!! You are in my prayer and please let us know how it goes with your MRI.

    Love,
