Some good news. My oncologist called me last night about the Cat Scan I had last week. The radiologist's report said that there was no improvement and possibly some growth. When I saw Dr T (my onc) last week that's all he had to go by, so we discussed changing chemo regimen, but he wanted to review it with another radiologist at the hospital, who he says is nationally recognized (whatever that means, but it sounds good). However this radiologist was on vacation last week. Anyway, Dr T says when he looked at the films after I left last week he felt that 2 of the lesions were gone and some others had shrunk. He just got an email from this top radiologist who agreed with his (Dr T) reading of the films. So to sum it all up. The camptosar, 5 FU, leucovorin, and avastin is working! And I will be resuming that this week. Thank you to all all who helped me through this bump in the road!

Great news, Mary! It just shows how reading the scans correctly can make all the difference. This is so encouraging for you. Go for it!

Oh Mary, that is fantastic news!!! You must be so relieved. I think the problem is that with multiple tiny lesions it is really hard to tell what exactly is going on, but that is really, really great news! Keep up the good work and keep us posted.
Love and hugs,
