Last week I went for my mamogram every six months and the doctor called and informed me that she wants me to take a ultrasound, she said she and the radiologist seem to think that what they are seeing is a lymph node. Well I went for the ultrasound and the radiologist came in to check me out and I asked her if there was a problem. She informed me that she thinks I have a complex cyst ( I don't know what that is) and I didn't ask because it that point I was quite upset and started to cry. She told me not to worry that she would compare my other films, she also said that she would probably want to perform an aspiration. All this waiting has gotten be really upset and I ask for all your prayers and any advice you can give me.

Yes, I will keep you in my prayers. The waiting is terrible! At least you have a radiologist that wants to compare your films. That's good. Meanwhile, go to the American Cancer Society's web site and research complex cysts and aspirations. It will give you somethine to do and will help you when you speak to the doctor again. You will be able to take a more active part in your health decisions. You may not understand all you read right away, but when the Doctor explains things, it will make more sense.

When you are called in for the results or even when you go for the aspiration, take along a friend. Friends are great support, and, 4 ears are better than two.

Keep us posted. You have many "sisters" on line.

    God Bless!

You will absolutely be in my prayers. The good news is, these radiologists really know their stuff. If he said he thinks it's a complex cyst, it probably is. Hold tight to that belief until you know more! I'm new to this board, but have found all these women to be very supportive and helpful. Keep us posted!

Well I am still on this roller coaster, I have scheduled for a ultrasound guided needle aspiration on Monday. The doctor informs me that the radiologist is a like suspicious. Since I have had breast cancer they want to be certain of what it is. I was told that is very tiny.
