I can't hold it together anymore. Last year I was Dx with DCIS in the right breast. After 4 lumpectomies I had a mastectomy and reconstruction. Made the exchange to the permanent implant in February. Just started to breathe a little bit. Went for a sonogram on left breast, sent for biopsies of 3 cysts. Had the biopsies, 2 were cysts and collapsed, one did not collapse and they sent a sample out to the lab. I can't stand it. I can't handle the waiting. I can't handle that this may come back to me, and it could be worse than before. I think I may just crack up.

Oh Joan, so sorry you are having to deal with the waiting and the worry. Hold on, you probably won't crack up but you may just need to let go and scream or cry or something to let out some of the tension.

I recommend going to the Goodwill and buying a box of cheap dishes -- great to smash on the sidewalk! In all seriousness, though, best wishes and I hope for you that everything comes out well.

    Dear Joan,

Waiting is probably the hardest part-not knowing the out come -seems like it takes forever. You've been through so much already, hopefully the results won't be as bad as you think. Regardless, take one thing at a time , digest it , and go to the next.I'm not trying to be funny or anything ,I know it's always easier said than done , these are very trying times to go through and can really wear on your nerves.
Maybe if you can find other things to occupy your mind while your waiting, time will pass alittle faster.I will keep You in my prayers.Take good care of Yourself and don't forget to breathe.

Joan, take a DEEP breath and take things one step at a time. I know from whence I speak. I am a three time breast cancer survivor. Attitude is 98 percent of it. BREATHE!!! It will be ok... what ever it is. You can't change it at this moment. Knowledge is power. The sonogram found something, and found it early. You wont crack up, you are stronger than you think. If you need someone to talk to who has been there, done that, done that, and done that... I am here.
    Hugs

What helps me is prayer. I try to live in the NOW....right now, at this moment I am fine, and if a test comes back which shows more cancer, I will deal with it then.
It is normal to make oneself crazy with worry waiting for test results. This cancer journey is not easy.
