cancer scare gone but now depressed

I hope I am in the right place.  I just discovered after two mammograms and two MRIs that I don't have cancer, and I figure I should be throwing a party...but I feel depressed and I am not sure I understand why...has anyone else ever felt this way?

I am sorry to hear you are feeling depressed. You may want to consider contacting the American Cancer Society's National Cancer Information Center. Cancer Information Specialists are available 24 hours a day and may be able to assist you with resources to help you cope with the depression your are experiencing.

The day my chemo finished and I knew I was in remission should have been a happy day but deep down I felt depressed. This passed after a few days just give it time. I am glad you are OK.
