Hi! I'm new on this board but read a few of the other messages. Just wanted to introduce myself and let others know that I celebrated my fifth anniversary of being cancer-free this past May. I had colon surgery, then radiatioin & chemo then they found two spots on my liver that were cancerous. They were successfully removed (thank God) in May of 1998, more chemo (different kind) through the first part of 1999. This all sounds so quick and pain-free, but I'm here to tell you it was pure hell. Many, Many things went wrong in between. I feel I am so blessed to even be here that I want to help anyone going through this horror by answering any questions that may help you get through this, because you CAN get through this. I decided I would not listen to percentages, it only made me more depressed. I focused on doing whatever I could, and depending on God for the rest. I did everything my doctors recommended, tried to keep a positive attitude and took it a day at a time, which at some times was extremely hard to do. If anyone has any questions, I would be happy to talk to you. Believe me, I think I've been through it all. Thanks and hope to hear from you. - Lauretta
