Wow! What a great testimony, anyone who hasn't read her webpage should. CSN was doing a feature article on her on the home page, that lead me to her web page. 2b...I'm proud of you girl...donuts in a doctors office! Sounds about right. Congratulations on your success, may God continue to bless you. hummingbyrd

I have a question about bone mets. I know that if it spreads to the bone or anywhere else,it is still bc, but I saw on another reply to someone that it is totally different than bone cancer being diagnosed initially. If you have info, please share we me. I have not had spread to bones but have been told my type of cancer has a possibility of spreading to my bones. As you know from previous posts, that I have had mets to my ovaries and have had successful treatment. Also, just a note to share, I had appointment with my oncologist August 12 with all good news. Treatment is being stopped for now and he says everything looks good for now. They were checking my tumor marker and everything fine there. He said previous marker was still a little high but nothing to worry about. That was checked in March, 2003. That even if it stayed where it was at that point,he would do nothing else at this point. ANYWAY CELEBRATION FOR NOW. Enough about that, just a thought regarding bone mets and have not asked that question or if I did it went in one ear and out the other, if you know what I mean. When I get in to see my doc I forget what I wanted to ask in the first place. I think we have all been there. Thanks Hummer, for all your kind words and great sources of information. I never wanted to know alot, until now for some reason. I feel the need so maybe I can help someone else. I did not know of this site when I was first diagnosed 6 years ago. It is a great place to go where you know everyone understands all your feelings and emotions, Thanks again for all your encouraging words, Angie

    CONGRATULATIONS! gadget U GO GIRL!
For info on the bone mets I go to cancer.gov or webMD. Basically, its just easier to treat with a higher success rate. Having said that...forget I said that....I hate statistics! It is just as you say, it's breast cancer in the bone and not bone cancer. Makes a lot of difference. It's good you are seeking information, knowledge is power. I personally look only at the diagnosis and treatment, not the prognosis, because I think the prognosis is within each person. CONGRATULATIONS again, you are a survivor! Lots of luv and hugs. hummer
