I had a D and C on June 26th and it revealed sqamous cell metaplasia and hyperplasia with atypia. My gyn referred me to see an oncologist.  Is anyone familiar with any of this.  Your response would be greatly appreciated.  I have a 3 month old baby.  Should  be worried?

i to found out that i have cancer i think that yours is a mild case of cells before they become cancer.i wish you the best.

I am a cervical cancer survivor and let me tell you that if you keep your cool you can come out of this on top.  None of us here can tell you whether or not you should be worried because every case is different.  I know that my cancer went untreated and undiagnosed for a long time and I am still here to tell the tale.   Talk to your doctor and discuss the future and what you should do.  We're all here for support and to answer your questions.  Cancer is scary but we only fear what we don't know.  The key is getting as much information that you can, beat the fear in the ground and come out fighting.
