Hi, Wendy in CA here!! I was just wondering if anyone else has had pimples break out after starting chemo. If so, any suggestions on how to make them hurt less? Hope everyone is having a great day!!

hey wendy,
I did the big no-no and popped them. 2 monsters on my chin. they both had little ingrown hairs in them and healed up nicely even though my counts were horrile at the
time.

like every thing else it is side effects they never tell you about unless you specifically ask and then they answer only when it happens to you.

it is pulling teeth to get a straight answer out of anyone.

Hi Wendy. I have had acne on my forehead, cheeks & neck days after my 1st chemo. After attending the 'Look Good..Feel Better' program arranged by my oncology nurse, I applied the moisturizer with SPF15 factor(skin care & makeup provided for each participant) day and night and it works. The acne is under control with no farther break out. Another solution is to "Drink Plenty of Fluid(Filtered water), Eat lots of Greens & Fruits, Get Plenty of Rest. Called your local ACS or ask your oncology nurse for details about the above program. They have trained experts to teach & demonstrate beauty techniques incl. Skin Care, Makeup, Wig Care & Styling etc. The people in there are great and helpful. Bet you will enjoy the program, as for me I did. Love-Angie

If i were you, i would suggest that you don't prick or pop it. It would be very dangerous and can cause scar to your face. I have read some cool tips and ideas on how to cure or prevent from acne, click here to know more.
