hello everyone,

I am kinda new to this website but I think it's great! my aunt had passed away back in june 99(lung cancer) and a very dear friend of mine had been diagnosed just a month later with liver and bone cancer. I had up and downs with all this stuff going on. what i would like to know is why we use the color pink as showing support of others having cancer such as relay in life, and pink bow. I feel kinda a fool asking this question. I would love to hear from any of you on this subject as quick as possible. many thanks!

Hello, my name is Lisa. My father died of lung cancer on 1/1/02. My father-in-law was diagnosed with a brain tumor about a month ago. My mother died of heart disease 11 years ago Sept.. I really feel bad for my husband because he has no idea what it feels like to loose a parent.
I wondered if you ever got your answer. If so email me with the answer. I have always wondered why too. Best wishes to you and yours, Lisa
