My mom was just diagnosed with advanced stomach cancer on the 8th. We will find out the stage next Thursday. My conern is she cannot eat, nothing will go down. Her tumor is at the very top of her stomach blocking it. She has lost an extreme amount of weight and it continues to drop. I have tried protien drinks to boost her calorie intake but nothing is working. Reading some of the post I have hope that this will be operable, also find that out on Thursday. I'm not going to lie, I am so scared.

Hello Texas and welcome to
Hello Texas and welcome to you and your mom. It is ok for you to be scared. Of course you are! My dad was dx with ec. His tumor was right above his stomach, at the junction. Sounds quite similar. My dad was at a stage IV. He also had heart condition. Because of these two things he was unoperable. Hoping your mom can have the surgery...this will remove the tumor and it will be gone. The feeding tubes are most helpful. Should she need one until the surgery, I would suggest it. Hoping you got the answers you needed. Tomorrow 1/21 is the day. Keep us posted. We are here for you.
