how to survive chemo and radiation

I just finished chemo and radiation. I been in treatment for almost a year. I have her2neu cancer and treatment will take a year. My first treatment was in Dec. 31,2009, new years eve, imagine that. I am working on a website to answer questions.
Chemo was hell and Radiation was exhausting. My red and white blood cell are really low and dangerous. I am still struggling...

    you well......I'm sorry that you had such a hard time with chemo....I was lucky.....chemo was no day at the beach for me, but it wasn't hell either...Everyone is different....I think it also depends on how many infusions one has to have and the difference in the drugs..My cancer center and oncologist were very, very agressive with the anti-nausea meds......I was never sick the first time...never had the first wave of nausea.....I was tired, I ached from the Taxotere and Nuelasta injection and felt crappy, but I kept pluggin along.....the first week after each one, I lost my taste buds....couldn't taste the difference between cardboard or a steak....the following week was better and the third week, I felt pretty good.....Then it was time to start all over again........Radiation did cause me fatigue......different from the chemo fatigue.....a real weary feeling....Again, I was lucky, I had no burning with radiation..All my treatment lasted for 9 months....finished last Nov.......I am enjoying life to the fullest.......I still have some residual radiation fatigue but it is manageable.....

    Hi,
    I am scared...I start chemotherapy August 2nd 2010...What I am especially worried about is Chemical Menopause...Hot flashes...uuuggghhh...My immediately future look grim...
