    thyroid and breast cancer
I had thyroid problems 10 years ago. Then got diagnosed with breast cancer this year. Ironically, felt worse with thyroid problems than I did with cancer treatments as felt consistently awful (I was initially overactive, and that's when I was very sick as my levels kept going up and down and it is difficult to treat with the correct dosage.) Hope you feel better soon.

    Are we calmer, Lynn?
Thanks, Lynn. I woke up this morning down in the dumps because I feel like I am so young to be falling apart so quickly. I am greatful that they are so thorough when doing any kind of test, but upset that there could possibly be anything else going on, right when I started feeling better. I know I had my thyroid checked about 1 1/2 - 2 years ago and the levels were fine. So this is all so frustrating to me (understandably)!
I do want to say that our BC board ROCKS when it comes to helping one another! If we are comforting, complaining, cheering or researching....someone steps up to the plate immediately! I posted a question on the "thyroid" cancer board and no one has even acknowleged it! It must be mostly men on there....LOL

    Pammy.....
If it is hypothyroidism, it can happen pretty quickly. I have hyperthyroidism, since undergoing treatment for bc.
My levels were normal in February of this year and now Of course, not normal.

If it makes you feel any better at all...and I hope it does because that's why I am posting it, I am seeing an endocrinologist who is affiliated with our cancer center here (I was not treated for my bc there however), and he told me that thyroid tumors and nodules are benign 99% of the time.

Are you seeing an endocrinologist? Has your onc seen the discs of your CT?

    Hugs,
