I hope and pray that the pet scan will show shrinkage of all the cancer in him. i just got finished posting my favorate picture of my husband and I, I surprised my self by doing it not that smart with the computers but I did it

    PET SCAN
    Hello Michelle,

It is true the waiting for results is very taxing on all parties involved. I myself have been both caregiver and patient as I am a survivor of breast cancer. I assisted with the caregiving for both my Mother and my sister.

As a patient you certainly do get tired of being ill. I do not know how mobile your husband is, however to break up the monotony of it all we would try to take a ride just sight seeing. I was pretty exhausted, but these little outtings were so appreciated as they gave me a sense of my old self. I have had a total of a total of 28 infusions of chemo and 16 weeks of rads.

I am betting you are a wonderful caregiver, it is just hard to see one you love so much being so uncomfortable. Please keep in mind that it is equally as important for you to take good care of yourself as well. Be sure to take time for Michelle as in the long run this will help you to care for your husband.

As difficult as it seems at times try to be hopeful, there is always hope! I wish you and your husband well! My best to you!

    thank you
for your kind words. when he does feel ok we take a ride on the harley i don't know how he does it the bike is heavy then i get on and it is even heaveyer but he loves to ride so thats what we do even if it a 20 minute ride he feels alive and free.I am Hoping and praying that the chemo is helping.you know its funny that when a family member is sick you put your problems or illness on the back burner and they stay there for a while before you can attend to those things, my foot problem seems silly compared to what my husband has and has been threw. But i will try to find the time to take care of my tooth foot thanks again and have a wonderful thanksgiving husband will be on long chemo that week won't feel much like eating but will make turkey any ways it makes the house smell wonderful
