HI, my mom has recently been diagnosed with small cell carcinoma of the esophogus with bone mets. The doc says that this is rare, but has a 80% success rate with chemo and radiation. Does anyone have any experience with this type of cancer? My mom is only 61 and grandma to 2 young girls. She's got a lot more living to do:)

Hello,
You may want to post your questions on the esophageal cancer discussion board in order to get more responses.
You may also want to contact the American Cancer Society's National Cancer Information Center for medical information on her diagnosis. Cancer Information Specialists can be reached 24 hours a day at 1-800-227-2345 or by clicking on the "Contact ACS" link at the top of the page.
I wish you mother the best.
Take care and be well,
Dana
