I wonder if people who had cancer earlier this year can get the flu shot. It seems like every place is running out. Has anyone out there been successful?

My son is currently undergoing ESHAP in preparation for an allo transplant, and his oncologist gave him a flu shot. So I would imagine they are safe for folks who have had cancer earlier (if you can find anywhere that has the shots available).

I was told that I HAVE to get a flu shot every year from now on. I was lucky. My regular clinic didn't have any trouble vaccinating its regulars. They don't get their flu vaccines from the company that had all the trouble.
