Hi, I finished my treatments for NHL (Non-hodgkins Lymphoma) in March of 2002. I had a PET scan in late April. Right now I am experiancing a tightness in my throat, which is one of the symptions I had with the cancer. I have NO other symptions. My radiation was in this spot and I don't know if it is a side effect of that. My gut tells me it is nothing but I am still scared. Should I go get a chest x-ray? I so badly want to put this all behind me and just forget about all of it. I just want health! Am I in denial? Lia

You should do whatever you need to do. The doctor ought to be able to tell you if it's a side-effect of the radiation, or could be, and could schedule whatever tests would be appropriate to make sure. If your doctor doesn't help you out, find another.
My opinion, for what it's worth.0 -
As a 10 yr Hodgkin's survivor, I can tell you that that nagging little worry never really goes away. Even after 10 yrs, I still freak out when I feel a lump or get a cough. I generally go to get things checked out, because if nothing else, it gives me peace of mind. You're right that it's probably nothing, but it's always nice to know for sure. Good luck!!0
