Mom and breast cancer

My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in April and I have had an extremely rough time dealing with it. My mom and I are very close and I am always around for her. I am not getting the support I need from my husband. I have 2 brothers who are of no help and my father cannot cope alone. I feel a lot of pressure from my husband for not being around much. I don't know what to do to make him understand. If anyone has been through this, please respond.

It's nearly a week since you posted this message but I'm thinking you probably could use a note from someone who is in a similar place? My mom is battling breast cancer for the third time. This time it is in her bones and it has hit us all really hard. Have you found someone for your dad to talk to? There are other men out there who have been through this with their wives and it would be of great help to him to talk to someone who understands. There seems to be so much to say that a short email message can't really get across. It's easy to say that your husband should just "get it" because it is your mother....but it is not that easy for him to "share" you. I'm fortunate that my husband is very close to my mother and he supports me (actually us) being caregivers for her. I'm not sure I've been any help?
