surviving bone cancer

Hi I'm a new member and was diagnosed with Osteogenic Sarcoma in Dec 1999 in my upper right shoulder. I have completed a very agggresive chemo protocol in Oct 2000 and had my shoulder and upper arm successfully reconstructed. I would really enjoy hearing from those survivors of this type of cancer or anyone that would like some support. I will do my best. Thanks.

    Hey!I was diagnosed with osteogenicsarcoma in aug. of '98.I just recently had my two year anniversary of being off chemo.I had a tumor in my left knee.I had to have a prostetic knee put in,but I had some complications with it so I had to have that surgery done agian.But I'm doing great now and I'm healthy.I would love to talk to you.It's always nice to know someone who has gone through the same thing as you.How old are you?I'm currently 17 but will soon be 18.Anyway,write back soon!

    Hi, I had osteosarcoma in my L femur and had to have an amputation. I was diagnosed when I was 7 and went thru treatment until I was 11, I am now 24 and fully recovered. I would like to help you through this

    I am about to celebrate my 25th year of living without cancer. In 1977(!) I was diagnosed with Osteogenic Sarcoma in my L femur. Back then (I was 15) the aggressive treatment was amputation of the left leg. However, I have led a very productive life which includes a Masters degree, two wonderful children and a great job. I ride bikes (Long distance), rock climb, scuba dive...the mind is the only limitation! Email back if you have a chance or any thoughts!
