Anyone else infertile?

Hey Everyone! I had Rhabdomyosarcoma when I was 17 years old. I hate 35 radiation treatments and 18 rounds of chemo. Sadly the chemo left me infertile. I married my husband when I was 20 and we started trying when I was 21. We knew it would be hard so we thought why not start early. After three years and 5 rounds of fertility injections to help regrow my eggs it was decided the only way I could get pregnant would be an egg donor. We thought and prayed and finally decided we felt called to adopt. We are so excited and really feel this is the way we are going to become a family. I blog about the whole thing here:http://thegollaschsadoption.blogspot.com/ and are currently fundraising to help.

Anyone had problems getting pregnant?

    infertile

Hi! Yes unfortunately chemo can be brutal to our "lady parts" I am unable to have children after chemo and because I am on tamoxifen for another 7 years Im told to not even try.. so no specialists, no shots, no chance. My fiance and I have also decided that we will adopt in the future. Reading your post just was inspiring to me and I now dont feel so much like we are the only people on the planet going through this.

    God Bless & good luck.

    ovarian cancer at 30

I was dx 3C OVCA at 30.  Had total hysterectomy.  I do not have any children.  At first I was VERY angry.  After 5 years of fighting this beast I know it is a good thing that I don't have children.  There is no way I could care for a child and myself.
