Cyberknife, anybody?
In searching the for those who have experienced Cyberknife, I ran across this post. Is there anything new to report? I know kidney cancer is supposedly resistant to radiation therapy, but I don't hear doctors talk about Cyberknife too much. What gives? I also ran across this study which leads me to believe it could work well for lungs mets kidney cancer. See tables 2, 3, and 4.

my husband underwent cyberknife radiation to a small met on thoracic spine; he had 5 treatments, each lasting 48 minutes. The treatment was in late August so don't know results yet.
not all hospitals have theb technology but the studies so far show it is effective. It zeroes in on the area and goes deep which makes it more effective than plain radiation.
the side effects for my husband was loss of appetite and fatigue.
