I have been diagnosed with chondrosarcome of the lower spine. Suggested treatment is 6 weeks of radiation (which I start this week), followed by 2-full days of surgery (with no encouraging results), and more radiation following surgery. I would like to talk with someone who has had this type of cancer and hear the treatment they used and the results. thank you. MAG1

I didn't have it exactly where you did - it was attached to my ribs. I did 8 rounds of chemo and am at week 3 of recovering after surgery. My primary doctor is at MD Anderson in Houston, TX but I was able to be treated in Fort Worth where I live (with the excpetion of the surgery, but that was done in Houston).  I hope your treatment has gone well thus far, and I'm not sure how much help this is, but if you'd like to chat further, you're welcome to message me!
