Defrauding the government is bad, but not as bad as giving
needless treatments to cancer victims, just to ride the money train.

The Department of Justice
Health Care Fraud and Abuse Control Program

You can check out your own medical provider *here*

The local major treatment center here is "MIMA".

Isn't life grand?

Best of health,

John

Not long ago I had to go to the ER via ambulance. And when I received the bill I was surprised on how much the hospital charged and for what. I have tricare(triwest) and medicare. There were seperated amounts for everything including nurses, receiveing blood etc. Since I was medically retired from the military and have Tricare also. But I am also on disability because I can not work, I was told that I had to have Medicare and they would deduct the amount from my disability check. I called Tricare and was told it was not an option, I had to take Medicare. Medicare would pay first then Tricare would.

Funny thing is probably some of what is recorded as fraud represents beneficial honest medical efforts and billing errors, while much of which is injurious and truly fraudulent is "ok" because crooked "CON"ventional doctors (and related businesses) know how to work the system and stymie the public, and consumers. The latter part was my actual experience with large, established Medicare nursing home providers.

Paying cash eliminates a lot of "carp", and 90% of the fake bills. (The fake billing places you necessarily learn to avoid but may have to leave the US) In the crooked places, cash costs you more. The US is being sucked down a blackhole of systemic medical fraud - the supposed best science, insurance, Medicare/Medicaid, taxes, regs.
