Rebecca Study?
Just wanted to thank everyone on this board for sharing their information and offering their wonderful support to each other. I've learned so much from everyone, from how to cope, to what questions I need to ask my oncologist. Recently I had a dexa scan (having read about it here) and found out that I have osteoporosis at…

Arm with lymphodema broken
My mother is almost 84. She had lumpectomy for breast cancer 3 years ago - and non cancerous lymph nodes removed from her right side - followed by seven weeks of radiation. She wears a sleeve to try to reduce the swelling from lymphodema in her right arm (she is right handed). Other wise, she is bright and extremely…

Surviorship
I have been reading this board for several months. I have found great comfort in all I have read from all of you. I am so afraid of my future that I can hardly breath some days. I am 47 years of age and was diagnosed in 1997, my tumor was estrogen positive and I had 9 nodes positive. Considered to be Stage II and went…

Alcohol Consumption/Continuing Risk?
I am a wine collector and while I don't overindulge, I know there is an associated risk between drinking alcohol in moderate to heavy amounts and developing cancer, particularly breast cancer. What exercise do you do?
According to everything I am reading, I guess it is a good idea to keep up with some exercise routine. Since I have diabetes and high cholesterol as well as breast cancer, there are a lot of reasons for me to keep exercising. I dropped out of my step aerobics class after diagnosis because it was too high impact. Now I am…

How to support SIL
My 36 year old Sister in law (who I think of as a sister) has aggressive breast cancer - it has gone to her bones and liver. She was taking oral chemo, but it didn't work and her liver spot spread. Decision made/ovarian "abduction"
Hi all, Yes I mean to say "abduction" rather than ablation, puts me in mind of aliens coming and sucking my ovaries into the ship. I saw my oncologist today and he was enthusiastically 100% behind my having an ovarian ablation (laproscopic) and staying on arimidex. He told me that he is recommending this route for a lot…
