Backpacking
Hey guys, Just got back from my first backpacking trip since treatment ended about 7 months ago. Spent about a week in the Southern Sierras almost all above 10,000 feet. Put in a little over 30 miles. Had to cross a couple glaciers and go over a few 12,000 foot passes. This was probably the most difficult trip I've ever…

Hello all, I haven't been posting but every few weeks during treatment. I am happy to report that treatment is done now and I am working through recovery. Important! Please help Connie start eating?

Caregiver perspective
My 50 yr old husband was diagnosed with Tonsil Cancer in June. He noticed a lump on the left side of his neck while shaving. No other symptoms. No sore throat, no cough, nothing. He went to his dr. who put him on antibiotics and prednisone, and said if it didn't go away in 2 weeks to see an ENT. So 3 weeks later he had the…

"But I can't help falling..." (for amdog64, a post of from way earlier this year)
(Elvis Presley reference) Here's how it goes: one day I am stepping over Dusty, the older of the two golden retrievers and the one who believes his job is to be in your way in whatever way he can be in your way, and he decides to rise, to move, as I am stepping over him. It turns out for at least one of us that this is not…

My ENT moved up the date on this about three…
