The detials were myriad. The test seemed endless. The worry was always there. Yet you gals were always here to help. With Linda's…

My wife and I got the results from a recent CT. There are two golf ball sized tumors in her mesentery one by her spleen and the other is by her stomach exit which explains her problems as of late. What's your craziest "chemo brain" moment?
Friday I had to see my family dr. for renewal of my meds. The nurse was updating my chart. She said what year did you have your C-Section? I said May 18, of this year. She looked at me kinda funny and said this year? I said "yeah." Then I realized she had not asked about my hysterectomy. I finally figured it out and said…

Audio Help for Caregivers
Hi All- Not sure if this idea has been posted before. My husband is taking a lot of meds for pain control, esp. when he has flares (bone mets from prostate ca.). A couple of weeks ago, he yelled out my name from the bedroom where he was resting and scared the be-jeebies out of me and my daughter. He was really so weak from…

Using up my wig care products
I hate to waste things, so I am using up all my $10 a bottle wig care products on my "new" crop of hair, and have found that the wig restorer actually makes a great treatment for dry, brittle hair. The shampoo works just fine on real hair, as does the styling gel. I have a number of scarves and hats, plus several wigs (all…

First yearly checkup with gyn/onc
I saw my surgeon on Tuesday. It was a year ago on 11/03/2010 that he told me I was in remission. He is pleased with my CA 125 of 5. I mentioned that I sometimes worry when I get a pain, a twinge or I feel bloated. He said when that happens to look at my CA 125. He said that is accurate and that my cancer is in remission. I…
