Well, I tried the vitamin B-6, and it has helped the cramps in my toes. I still have the numbness, and that affects my balance which is especially bad in the mornings. Thanks to all who suggested the B-6.

Abdominal swelling management
I'll try to be briefer on my posts...With a week to go before exploratory surgery, my wife's stomach is very bloated and her back hurts. No sign of cancer cells in the fluid they tested (twice) though. But how do you handle this increased swelling and back pain. Any advice?

But I thought I'd update you on my situation. I was on a chemo break for quite a while after trying Hexalen. (Bad for me). Now I'm currently…

2nd treatment accomplished
They did decide to go with the Taxotere & Carboplatin today - then my doctor came in this morning to do my physical and asked if I'd like to try the IP Cisplatin this time around. I was so shocked! We decided to wait until the October 10th treatment and try to do at least 3 IV/IP treatments of the remaining 4 I have to go.…

I was originally to have Taxol/Cisplatin thru…

post-chemo
I have recently finished iv/ip chemo and now have move to the midwest and looking for a gyne/oncologist. I am having a hard time finding one within 3 hrs. of my home. I did finally find one and then found out he no longer takes care of the oncology part. He is in a sm. clinic and they do not do the chemo there. So, even…

I had a mild reaction for a few hours but it was stopped with the prednisone pak. That also seems to make my chemo go more smoothly also. Had good appetite and no nausea at all thru the week. Thanks ladies, for your support.

Cranberry Juice (pure) and OVCA Effects
I all just heard on the radio about effects of pure cranberry juice and ovca. Found an article on it at http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=83405 or just try medicinenet.com and search around. It is especially helpful with those who are sensitive to the platinum based drugs. Carboplatin, cisplatin, etc.…

Recurrance Strategies
My wife had low CA125 counts for a year and they suddenly shot up this month. This is one year+ 2 months after completion of a rigorous taxol/carbo (with some late reaction) chemo treatment and intraperitoneal therapy. She still feels great with no symptoms but is absolutely freaked and nearly inconsolable. She was so…

Allergic reaction
I saw my oncologist today and was told we may have to drop either taxol or carbo after my next dose on Thursday because I had a mild rash for a week last dose. He said the reactions usually get worse and it could be either of the chemicals. I will be more heavily pre treated for allergic reaction this time and we'll see…
