stage IV tumor removed
Had surgery in October of 2014 to remove a stage IV tumor with half of my colon. They hooked me up to a chemo pump, while my wife went to get the prescriptions for nausea, etc... only to find out that my insurance had cancelled. I finished the one treatment, took everything back, and haven't been back. No meds for chemo,…

HI Everyone, I come here almost every day and try my best to give good support and advise to those who need it. I just had my 6 month check up again and everything is looking good. I was very nervous because my CEA went from 1.3 to 1.7, but under 2.5 is normal they say. The ct did not show anything. I dont know when they…

MRI Results
As I said earlier, my brother's lung nodules are stable, no change. I see that as a good thing. The liver tumor was hard to figure out on the CT scan, so he had an MRI. We got the results today. There's only the one tumor. Back in August of 2014, it was 3.2 x 1.7 cm but it grew and is now 4.9 x 2.7 cm. Is that a lot of…

Heartbroken in Michigan to OH HAPPY DAY!
I just told my wife the bad news... And she started crying over the phone. I've been riding a remission now for six months. I know, six months is hardly that long of a time, but for me it was the longest stretch of <1.0 CEA results and clear scans. Ever since my liver surgeery on December 5th I have been clear. And we were…

RIP Saralee Sheehan
Sara lost her battle Friday, June 19th, 2015 one month shy of her 49th birthday. Most of you knew her as sasjourney. She was the sweetest...a friend I met here on the board. She was in the middle of her first rounds of chemo as I was finishing up. We discovered we lived only a few miles from one another and got together…

I finally made it to my appointment with the real radiation spheres for half of my liver.
