Yesterday was my last radiation treatment....28 + 5 boosters. Luckily, I did not burn bad, just a mild sunburn type area above my breast. So, why don't I feel excited and happy ? Burning sensation under arm
Surgery was 3 weeks ago and my under arm gets shooting pains like burning, hard to explain. It even goes down behind my arm. It comes and goes. Is this nerves healing?

Bone mets
The petscan showed chemo took away the hotspot from my hip. Doctor thinks it was cancer. Does chemo and radiation take it away or just put it in remission? I see the radiologist Fri for consultation.

1st chemo treatment in the morning
Tomorrow I have my first chemo treatment. I am having Taxotere, Adriamycin and Cytoxin. The ladies on here have such a positive outlook that it really helps someone new to this. Final Path report, I am blessed.
Went to my doctors visit to review the final path report. It was absolutly excellant. I originally declined a needle biopsy and requested they remove the entire lump for biopsy. Just wondering... Is it weird that I have had a surgical biopsy ( showing IDC ) and have been scheduled for a masectomy but I havnt seen or been refered to an oncologist yet? Does this come later or should I be seeing one prior to the surgery?

worried
1 week out with radical mastectomy of left and simple of right breast; 2 of 3 drains were removed on the 23rd. I have not been able to keep appointments for home health aides/visiting nurse/therapist at $40.00 a visit! Also worried not able to keep up with bills, utilities, car payments and rent!!!!

curious about others bl levels after chemo
Just curious about other WBC and ANC levels that have finished chemo. I have finished chemo 7 months ago and my WBC is still 2.2 and ANC 1.6... Oncologist doesnt seem overly concerned.. just says your blood counts are still really low.. Is this Normal??? are other's low also?? Just looking for some peace of mind

time between lumpectomy and chemo
My chemo start date has been canceled twice. First time I had a toothache and had to have that taken care of. This time my 5 year old son came down with strep throat and the Doc wants to wait a week. My lumpectomy was on Feb 5th. I am wondering if there is a time frame when you must start chemo for it to be effective.

Filling expanders after radiation
I just read that someone was told they cant fill expanders after radiation. Mine aren't fully expanded and I'm in radiation, I still need a few fills. Has anyone else had theirs expanded after radiation? ~Kari

anyones breast still tender
I finished Rad treatments on Dec. 22, 2009 and my breast is still sore and if I bump it, it hurts. The skin around the nipple looks like it has deep pores also. I would appreciate any help with this since I go for my follow up mammo April 1st and I was expecting my breast to feel better. Thanks

I am scheduled to have a BLM soon. I currently have implants. Has anyone had the BLM surgery that had implants at the time? I wonder how it affects things? and how it affects the reconstruction?
