Vocal changes
Hi All, I have another question - of no particular importance, just curious. Anyone have any changes in your voice after you started chemo? I used to be a respectable baritone/tenor and then stopped singing for many years. Came back as a bass. Last night was my first time singing since chemo, now I'm suddenly a higher…

Question for the Guys
Hi Guys, I've been researching a question that I've had no luck with. Frankly, it's a plumbing issue. (Embarraaassssinnng) Have any of you had any bladder problems that have only started after you began chemo? I know old guys supposedly start having problems, but I've not had any significant ones until I started chemo. Now…

Chronic Pain after Treatment
Hi! I need some major encouragement these days! Prior to being diagnosed 01/2009, they sent me everywhere to figure out what was wrong! At one point they said it was Fibromyalgia. Then after being diagnosed my oncologist said that the HL was the problem. I was so thrilled to be diagnosed after over a year of being told…

Good Dr. visit.
Hi all, My blood counts were good and my cancer doctor is very pleased with how well I'm doing since round 1 last Tuesday. My count was 7.2. She said 4 is considered low. I asked about the shot and she said she wouldn't give that to me unless my counts got down to 2 or lower.Next labs will be on the 17th. The only tumor…

Hair
With everyone starting so close together I lose track of everyone and where they are...but many of you should be getting close to the dreaded day. Does your hair hurt yet? That's the best way I can describe the beginnings of it. Just very tender at the roots. Just know that it won't be a good day, but my heart is with all…

Wiped out
Hi All, Well. I just woke up after sleeping all afternoon. Woke up late this am and then spend my day sleeping. Cannot be good. How do you all cope with the extreme fatigue. I don't feel sleepy, but as soon as I lie down, I'm gone. Still running low grade fevers in the evenings. I think that plays into it also. I hope all…

CT's vs MRI's, etc.
A friend was diagnosed with NHL in Feb of '09. She has had tumors show up in brain, lungs, and near her heart. Chemo has apparently removed all known tumors at the present time. Her onco wants to discontinue treatment, but of course she is worried. My question is.... what tests should she be asking for on a continuing…

In the morning I won't be taking the prednisone. I've been taking 60mg a day since Tuesday when I had my first round of chemo. Neuropathy anyone? My concerns
In looking back before I had this formal diagnosis, one of the earliest symptoms that I had related to HL (or something else?) were the muscle/nerve body aches all over in the evenings and they were unbearable but ibuprofen save me from having them. That was in the fall of 2009. Last winter and my dr gave me shot of…
