It’s been 7 days since biopsy and still waiting for results is this a bad sign ?
Hello, I had a biopsy last Thursday July 20- and I am still waiting for the results. Is this a bad sign ? I read that if they find a malignancy they need to run more tests and that’s why it may take more time . Has anyone experienced a long wait but got a positive result ? I appreciate your help ! Thanks so much

BiRads 5
Hello everyone. I am new here and am looking for some guidance and support. I had a mammogram yesterday where they found a lump in my right breast. After the mammogram, they did an ultrasound confirming what they had found. The report states that I am BiRads 5. Everything that I am reading online is telling me that I very…

Breast Cancer and swollen lymph nodes in neck
I’m new here. I had an abnormal mammogram on March 31st. After Ultrasound and Biopsy I just found out this week (FOUR MONTHS LATER!) that it’s Cancer. I’m having a lumpectomy on August 11th and the plan is radiation afterwards, but I guess the treatment really depends upon what they find. I have been complaining to the…

new member
I have a strong familiy history of breast cancer. My mother and her mother both had breast cancer. My grandmother had both of her breast removed and did not receive treatment because of her age. She passed away not from the cancer but from dementia. My mother was diagnosed in 2021 and was in remission last year. But it…

Traveling
Every single member of my cancer care team encouraged me/us to NOT cancel our family cruise scheduled next month to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday. Now that it's just a few weeks away, I have a lot of mixed emotions. I know I can't do lakes, oceans, public pools, hot tubs, saunas, and I have to be careful about sun…

My life has changed, has anyone had this happen?
Had lumpectomy April 27, 2022. I was blessed, margins clear, no lymph node involvement. July 22, 2023 will be a year since my last radiation treatment. I have had PET scans and 3 D mammogram, (hurt like the devil) and surgeon did breast exam. No cancer. I suffer from anxiety and occasional panic attacks. I just want to get…

Biopsy
Hello all, I am new to this. I had a mammogram on Monday followed by an ultrasound. The Mammogram didn’t show anything but they’re found an intraductal mass of 1.4 cm with the ultrasound on my left breast categorized as birad 4. I am scared. I started reviewing my previous reports and noticed that in 2020 an ultrasound…

Side effects of anastrozole
I have taken anastrozole for seven months with unfortunately multiple side effects. Some I can take in stride, but others are severe. The two that bother me most led me to seek consultations with other doctors. I have not seen these side effects mentioned except as rare ones in couple studies in JAMA, NIH, etc. One is…

Cough during/following radiation
Hey, I just wanted to give folks a heads up about the cough, pneumonitis, that can result from radiation for breast cancer treatment. I had a month's worth of radiation, and early on started to develop a mild cough. It got a bit worse as treatment went on, but the doc said it probably wasn't radiation-related. He said that…

Breast Papilloma
Has anyone had a situation like this; A small cluster of micro-calcifications were found on my annual mammogram that were not seen on my last Mammo or the annual MRI I had six months after mammo. There were two additional areas of micro-calcifications that were too small to biopsy. They biopsied the one cluster and it came…

Nervous about upcoming mamogram
I was diagnosed with breast cancer 4 years ago and I get extremely nervous every time I need a mamogram. I am scheduled for one early August and find myself in tears thinking about it… how does everyone cope with their exams?
