I'll be "out of pocket" for a while
Just wanted to tell everyone that I will be visiting my mom in upstate NY for two weeks starting tomorrow. Mom still lives in the 50's (bless her heart) so there is no internet access at her house and the Barnes and Noble is a ways away. Never fear, though, you are all in my prayers every single night. Sending all positive…

So, I heard the song today...don't even know the title...it's about the guy that finds out he has terminal cancer and is dying..and what would you do...etc. I started to tear up as I listened to it. Now, it's not in a bad way...we've all had that moment where we said is this going to take me? And we've all said NO! We are…

Things are not always what they seem...
I love the complexity of life. Today in my new life as a brunette, I had an amazing day. I had the honor of listening to world class musician Yo Yo Ma in the park. He gave a lecture first, what an inspiration! He was playing with musicians from all over the world - they called themselves the silk road ensemble. I wish I…

After three hours, my boyfriend noticed and was upset so he brought it up to her…

Finished with chemo June 3 - lots of mixed feelings - can anyone relate?
Hi all: I just finished chemo last Friday. After a week of feeling utterly lousy, I am back to "normal", more or less. But I thought I would feel happy, relieved, overjoyed....but in reality I feel scared, waiting for the other shoe to drop. I keep wondering "is it really over? am I going to have a reoccurance and have to…

Heat and itchy skin
For the past few months, I've developed extreme all-over itching when I get hot - hot flash, hot weater, exercise, anything that heats my skin. It's making me crazy because it's getting hot now. It goes away immediately when I get cooled down. It's like what I imagine prickly heat to be, except not rash or redness. Anyone…

end of the school year luncheon---interesting experience
I had the opportunity to hold a ten-day old baby of one of my young co-workers today. She put her in my arms and I held her close, she is beautiful. And then....the tears started rolling down my face and I am not even sure why. Is it because I am ready for grandchildren, and do not have any yet? Is it because I wonder if I…
