How many found their own BC as opposed to a Mammogram finding?
I am very curious as to how many found their own BC as opposed to it being discovered during a mammogram.....Seems the more I come in contact with those who have BC the more I am finding they have found it themselves......sometimes shortly after a mammogram...I, personally, found mine less than 3 months after my yearly and…

help cleaning
Does anyone know if there is financial help for housecleaning? I finally got the nerve to call for some help and the woman said a client with MS gets some financial assistance from the MS society. Is there something like that for cancer patients? Thanks. Barb

New to all this and really overwhelmed
Hi, I have been diagnosed with breast cancer on 11/17/09, had lumpectomy & had some lymphnodes removed on 12/30/09, had my follow up today. The good news the tumor was removed completly, 7.5 cc in size, but the 10 lymphnodes that were taken out were positive. I am told it is treatable, and will begin a very aggressive…

Mastectomy in 5 Days - Having a Hard Time Coming to Terms/Accepting it Emotionally
Hello everyone, I'm a new member here, and could use some friendship/support. I'm scheduled for a "simple" mastectomy (no reconstruction at this time) on the 12th. I've known about this for a few months, but now that it's almost here, the reality is hitting hard. With the holidays that come with the end of the year, I…

BBC News Health Yesterday
There is an article saying that cancer survivors are dying of neglect.... Because many oncologists refuse to acknowledge the late side effects of treatment (Including thinking you are going mad (memory loss) and neuropathy... and all the other nasties) It states that follow up care , especially in the emotional field is…

Is It Just Me, Or, Has Anyone Else Missed Going To Radiation Treatments?
I just finished rads a few weeks ago and have started missing the routine of going and of seeing everyone there.
