weight gain
Has anyone gained weight after chemo? I seem to be gaining weight over the last few months. I finished chemo in July. I don't know if it is "Chemopause" or too much junk food. In the past, I have been able to eat pretty much anything without gaining weight. What kind of exercises can be done after a tramflap? Any…

Radiation of Neck Nodes
Hey girls....finished radiation 2 years ago this past July. I had my neck nodes radiated at the suggestion of my radiation onc since I had positive nodes in the underarm. it was the gall bladder!
Hello my fellow survivors! I wanted to update everyone who may have read my posts regarding the severe back pain that I had endured for the past two months. There was a tumor on my spine, but they were 98% sure that it is a hemangioma, and not the source of pain. On that notion, my surgeon removed my gall bladder on the…

Realistic Expectations for Stage IIIa
I was diagnosed with Breast CA in May 03. Did mastectomy, chemo and radiation. I thought by now I'd be at a point where I'd see medical oncologist every 4-6 months and radiation oncologist every year. Seeing both more frequently than that and every 3-4 months dealing with "we need to rule out recurrence". Was my expections…

The Aging Process
Have you found that chemo treatment has sped up your aging process? I was 52 when I started chemo and I didn't look 52. I never smoked, sunbathed, etc. so my skin looked youthful. Now my face, neck, arms and hands look like I'm 65 or older. I used to look in the mirror and occassionaly see my mother's face looking back at…

Wanted to say Hi !!
I have'nt checked in for a while, but I've been pretty busy this summer with working and such. oncotype DX
I just came from my oncologist and she talked to me about a new test called the oncotype DX. This test accesses the likelhood of a breast cancer recurrence within 10 years. Question
Does a person who's had BC ever really go into remission (or get cured)? OR, is it just always there somewhere? My doctor's have never given me the word that I'm now "in remission" or cured...they're always watching something or other. Just curious. does anyone have a good answer to that question?! Happy BC Awareness…

I didn't even go to my oncologist and the breast cancer went a little wild. I couldn't take Famera (not sure of spelling) it seemed to…
