CEA questions
I see my chemo doctor tomorrow morning and I have some questions for her. One is what my CEA level is. I've never been told what it is. And what am I looking for as far as those levels go? What's good and what's bad? Is it possible to have zero? If I have zero is there any point in doing the mop up chemo? I tried looking…

Off topic - I'm back in the U.S.A. And celebrating 30years of marriage
I arrived in Reno late last night After a long haul trip from England. You would have been pleased seeing me, stage IV patient, running full tilt through San Francisco airport hoping to catch my internal flight. I would have put a teenager to shame. Today hubby and I spent shopping, and tonight we are going out to eat to…

Blood clots and chemo questions
So I had my second Folfox treatment on Monday. I'm having the cold sensitivity worse than after the first treatment and they say it will likely get worse. I'm wondering how often this is irreversible? I've read that it can be and it's making life difficult and I'm scared it will continue. Next question is about blood…

My new Avatar with my grandbaby Aiden
I decided to put up a new silly avatar. I was at a Communion party and there were no healthy desserts and my grandbaby started to cry because everyone else was eating cookies so I gave him a cookie just at the moment my cousin took a picture (which I knew would end up on Facebook). It was my "grandma got caught" face. His…

It's time for an update
Dear all, It's been an extremely rough year for us. My husband's cancer came back at the end of 2013, in pelvic where they took the rectum out. He had 8 folfiri+ erbitux and 28 rounds of radiation with oral 5-fu, hoping all these treatments would shrink the tumor and save his bladder. unfortunately, the tumor really hasn't…

Red flush face and chest after chemo
I've been on chemo every other week since March of this year and today (just got my pump off) my wife is concerned about what started as red under my eyes like a sunburn which then moved to my face and chest. I read online that some people have a similar reaction to some chemo drugs or steroids. Anyone experience this?…

Weird and bad side effects folfiri and panitumumab
Hi everyone, after many recurrences in lung, liver and lymph nodes, a total of 14 surgeries (major and small ones) and pretty much all chemo combos, my boyfriend has been put on folfiri and panitumumab. This chemo worked best on him but he only got it prior to his first major surgery 5 years ago for half a year. The…
