Went & had round #8 infusion today and back home with the pump now. During visit with Onc said (forgot correct terminology)something about liver count or enzymes up. Great website... Signet Ring, Mucinous Adenocarcinoma, appendiceal cancers ,pseudomyxoma peritonei.
Just happened upon this website while at work(UPMC) and thought it was great. A feeling of triumph!
I was just approved for Long Term Care Health Insurance, even with my cancer history! We (my husband and I) were a little afraid to apply, because if I was turned down, I would have had to wait 10 years to re-apply. However, the insurance company looked at my medical records, and despite being less than 3 years out of…

Ok don't know if I should be worried or all the emotional trauma I've been through since 2007, losing mum, cancer, husband leaving is to blame. Or as my sister said it was something that wasn't important to me so I forgot. I went to an old friends profile on facebook to see how she was, saw she was engaged and I thought…

1 year ago today, I heard those three words
One year ago today, seems strange, the date I embarked on this new journey after hearing those three words, "You have cancer". It causes reflection, since they didn't give me this long to live, and yet, here I am, and will be I hope for many more years. I thought since hearing those words, I would change, towards being a…

Drainage
The drain was removed on Wednesday, hole healed nicely, then woke this morning to a very wet behind. Assumed the drain hole had re-opened, but it turns out to be coming from somewhere between the cheeks. Spoke to the surgeon on call and was assured it was nothing to worry about. So we went to the local medical supply store…

Since Cancer haven't lost or gained weight
Tonight, I cooked chicken, the whole trying to be healthy thing, deboned skinless breast of chicken. Well, I can't just cook chicken without adding to it, so what the heck. I've got a can of cream of chicken and thought that would look mighty fine in the oven with the chicken. Um, hmm, first let me state I fried the…
