Thanks
I just got back from a 400 mile round trip to see a liver surgeon that my onc referred me to. My onc office did not include my latest PET scan report and the CD they sent me with did not have the latest scan. On the way home I was so discouraged because I felt like it was a wasted trip and using up my precious sick leave.…

Still in Limbo..again, but hopeful
Went to the surgeon today for follow up on Bob's PET results. Unfortunately, the PET is inconclusive. (yes, again we are in limbo, but it's ok as I'm still mindful of my blessings) It's about 50/50 at this point whether it's a new or reoccurrance liver met or something else. So.. a biopsy will be scheduled soon (we're…

Hi all, recently I had a dye study on my colon and it showed the area where there is tumor is almost 99% blocked. I am having a stint put in tomorrow. If the pain I am having is from the poo trying to get through (dr. thinks this is the case) then i mshould have a significant reduction in my pain level immediatly. It the…

input needed
I saw my onc today and the news was my CEA went up again. She feels the folfiri is not being effective. I get a scan next week. She wants me to do Erbitux. I'm getting to be okay with that after what others have shared. But she also thinks I need to go back on oxaliplatin. I only received 8 rounds of it last year because I…

Hope
I wish Kerry's family and this entire board comfort and encouragement during this time of loss. I did not know Kerry, but I read the obit, tributes, kind words from others, and I searched her past posts and read them. She offered so much support and encouragement to others, when she herself was trying to survive. I sat…

Goodbye to a friend
This will be one of the hardest posts I will ever post on this site... This morning, around 4:30 am, Kerry Morton, aka Kerry, passed away. Actaually, many of us close to Kerry feel the Kerry we know "left" probably 3 months ago. Until this morning, she was restricted to bed and her quality of life was lacking to say the…
