healing of a broken bone
I broke my shoulder skiing on new years eve, on my left side the same side of the breast cancer. I wasn't doing anything extreme, I just toppled over. It was a very minimal fracture, ( I think it was more of a crack). When I saw the orthopedic surgeon in the beginning of January he said that I would be in a shoulder…

Scans after treatment
I'm 42 and just started Tamoxifin a month ago, i'm terrified of the side affects considering it could lead to other cancers. My oncologist told me that for breast cancer there are no "scans" done anymore. He would just see me 2x a year and thats it. I'm a bit concerned about this and want to know what you all think? View from Here
yep.....back on the old soapbox again.....I may need to explain why I get upset when people come on these boards talking about how they have cancer and even though there are treatments available, and some have proven to be effective, they decided for whatever reason to just not do any of it. Then name your topic something…

To Chemo or Not to Chemo
For anyone out there who's trying to decide, I had an experience that made me glad I did. My MO has had me have a CT scan every 3 mos since last March. There were some nodules in my lungs and she was watching them to see how they would react to the chemo. She said, "if they disappear or get smaller, we can assume it's…

Effexor + Arimidex = ?
Hi friends - I just started my arimidex (ER/PR+, HER2-, single mastectomy, oophrectomy) and I am completely depressed and broken, but petrified of anti depressants. I keep telling myself that depression is just a function of the trauma of having breast cancer and being dropped off the menupause cliff with the ovary removal…
