Neutropenia
So I was admitted to hospital yesterday. Ninth day from first chemo treatment. Had temp up to 102.8. White counts of 1 and low potassium. Still in hospital today. Has anyone else had this problem that is getting herceptin, perjeta, carboplatin and taxotere.. It's my first week so very frustrating.. Mary

Trace here. Surgery is all done and went well. She's having yummy jello and broth and has been up and moving about. She's got much more range of motion than I thought she would so everything is going well. I found a vending machine but only Coke. I'm going to smuggle some Pepsi in later.

Chemo side effects

I'm not real happy about a possible lump in the reconstructed breast that had the bc. Its kind of a mess on the side anyway. They did sentinel node biopsy, radiation and diep flap reconstruction. Had my first chemo today. Did pretty good so far. Had herceptin, perjeta, carboplatin and taxotere. On way home about an hour from chemo dr. Noticed my face and neck were red and hot like a sunburn. No fever. Called dr on call and he said could be from decadron (steroid). Has anyone else had this problem
