I finally get to say these words "I'm Dancing With NED"!
Doc said there is a one millimeter spot on my lung but she said it's not uncommon and these tiny little spots can show up and mean nothing, which they do all the time. She said she isn't going to lose any sleep over it and neither should I. She has officially told me that at this point I'm cancer free :) Plus I did the…

Well I saw my oncologist today over the past month I have had a bone scan, pet scan and a MRI of my brain. The MRI showed hot spots on my brain so I see a neurosurgeon tomorrow to set a time for him to do a spinal tap to get the fluid to test on it to determine the cancer cells then they talked about putting some port type…

thyroid issues
Anyone with thyroid issues after breast cancer diagnosis? I am waiting for a 2nd ultrasound result and I am sure I saw little white dots, the kind I saw with my breast cancer...calcification. And the technician drew a little arrow to them. Still waiting for results. I can't help but to think the worst.

Of course being an Old Broad has some perks.....
////// Perks of reaching 50 or being over 60 and heading towards 70! 1. Kidnappers are not very interested in you. 2. In a hostage situation you are likely to be released first. 3. No one expects you to run--anywhere. 4. People call at 9 pm and ask, did I wake you? 5. People no longer view you as a hypochondriac. 6. There…

Taxol or Taxotere what is the difference?
I am beginning chemo on 5/20/10 with AC every 2 weeks for 4 cycles (8weeks) but My Onc also said I would come back in on Fridays for your shot? Diverticulitis and C Diff. I was in the hospital for 5 days. Now I am afraid to have the next treatment. They are going to lower the chemo dose…

New Question -------- What is everyone doing this summer?
Just thought it would be interesting to see what everyone is planning for this summer. Any vacations planned, a new job, retirement, the end of your treatments, just laying around and enjoying life? Opinion on a final scan after chemo is done.
I am in the middle of chemo treatments and I have found out that my Dr will not be doing a final scan after chemo is done. He told me that is will only do scans when I have an ache or pain that lasts for a couple of weeks. Did your Dr do a scan at the end of chemo to check that the cancer hadn't spread and that you were…

Neulasta
Hi, I'm having my 3rd chemo (Taxotere & Carboplatin) Fri. I get a Neulasta shot then on Monday. Does it wipe anyone else out for a few days? I tolerate the chemo just fine but on Tues after the shot I can barely move. I sleep most of the day and feel awful. It just annoys me to be so lifeless. After about 3-4 days I'm fine…
