PreMeds Needed for Dental Care if you have Port?
Hello, everyone, I returned this morning from a dental appt where the hygienist refused to treat me because I had not taken antibiotics beforehand and I have a port. Is anyone taking Femara after 5 years on tamoxifen
I will complete 5 years on tamoxifen in February 2010. Next week we are meeting with my oncologist to discuss whether or not to take Femara after tamoxifen. Researching it shows lots of side effects and I'd rather not. Any advice?

We get calls from health insurance salesman and when we tell them I had cancer and now Parkinson's, they can't get off the phone soon enough. So now when they call we tell them they won't cover us and why and they say thank you and hang up. The only reason I've got health insurance at all is a high risk pool through the…

Our Great State Senator
Barbara Maculsky (sp?) made a statement yesterday that I thought was too good not to pass on. She said that she and all the other females in the Senate felt that with all the cutbacks on mammograms, SBEs, and testing for cervical cancer - just being a woman in the United States is a "pre-existing condition". Just thought…
