PET Scan Results
Im so exited and somewhat aggrivated at the same time. Ill start with what I know is good news. My last scan showed breast lesion to be 10.5cm. This scan after 3 rounds of AC now measures 1.9cm x 2.6cm. Much smaller. They would not make a comment on my liver since I went to a different facility until they have the actual…

Started Taxol - feeling really lousy!
I did really well with the A/C treatments (4 treatments over 8 weeks). Had some fatigue, etc., but for the most part felt pretty well. On Monday I had the first of 12 Taxol treatments. I feel like I've been run over by a bus. Anyone else feel lousy with the Taxol? I wonder if it could just be the cumulative affect of…

Final exam....
A first-grade teacher, Ms. Brooks, was having trouble with one of her students. The teacher asked, 'Harry, what's your problem?' Harry answered, 'I'm too smart for the 1st grade. My sister is in the 3rd grade and I'm smarter than she is! I think I should be in the 3rd grade too!' Ms. Brooks had enough. She took Harry to…

RENEWING OUR INNER SELVES
This is a blog I posted on the Expression's Gallery, I decided to post it here as well and ask where or what some of you do to renew your inner selves. Urinary tract infection & treatment
Well it's finally here. I'm having my 2nd treatment tomorrow. It sure seems 3 weeks is a long time to wait in between and I'm nervous... definitely not nearly as nervous as the first time, but I guess just a little worried that things won't go as well as they did the first time. I asked my onc if he thought the rest would…

Waiting rant
So, 2 days shy of a month after my lumpectomy I finally met with my medical oncologist. Since my tumor was small (1.3 cm) and no lymph node involvement, I knew, mostly from information and links I got from coming to this board, that I would be a good candidate for the Oncotype DX. My surgeon had also mentioned it, but said…

Did you deal with this too?
We all know breast cancer changes us forever. During this journey in addition to dealing with the emotions brought on by a cancer diagnosis, I have also had to deal with a lot of other emotional baggage.
