Chemobrain
I tried to post this yesterday, but it never got posted. I was dx in late 2000, treated in 2002. Ever since I had chemo, I have been having some real problems with short-term memory and concentration. It has impacted my productivity at work, and it has interfered with my ability to write (I'm a published novelist). I'm…

DCIS & axillary lymph node dissection
I am scheduled to have a mastectomy next week and have decided to NOT have the axillary lymph node dissection since the probability of lymph node involvement is so low. Has anyone else made this choice? What was the response of their oncologist? How did they deal with the uncertainity of not knowing if the lymph node was…

Keep the laughter
Humor is a magical thing. Just when you think you can't, you can. My heart goes out to all of us on this site. We have all walked or will be walking in shoes that don't fit, are alittle tight and uncomfortable. In time unfortunately, we get used to these shoes. The walk that all of us takes is not a pleasant one, but…

Waiting for Surgery
I found this site from television and just wanted to connect with women who are going through the same thing as I am. So far the worst part has been telling family and friends. I hate the look on their faces like you're going to drop dead tomorrow. I am prepared to fight with everything within and I plan to win the battle.…

Bone metasasis
I seem to get more and more bone pain, most seems related to radiation (around ribs) and muscle strain across my back from scar tissue under arm, but any bone pain concerns my Dr. and me.
