CT Scan Results
Hi All, Got a call from my ONC yesterday, he said my CT scan was all clear no sign of cancer at all. He did mention something might be wrong with my right lung, he is checking into that, but he said it was not cancer related, just looks like my lung was to inflated or something, anyway not worried about it. So come this…

August 31 - a day I hate, but a day that saved my life
Today is my cancerversary - the day that forever changed my life 2 years ago. I finally found out what was causing my awful pain, plus causing mucous and blood in my stool on and off for 2 years. I was almost fully obstructed, so my colonscopy was over as quickly as it started. The surgeon was called, and the wheels set in…

Frustrated
We had a private insurance for six months after diagnoses but then would have had to pay 2000 a month for major medical so I applied for our state insurance and got it with only a 176.00 premium per month but I can sure tell the difference, it's been 2 weeks since the doc ordered some tests and we are just getting them…

Pathology question - would appreciate your feedback
Hello everyone - I have been thinking about how/why different patients respond so differently to sometimes the same treatment ... surely histologic grade and cell type must play a role. With that in mind, would you be willing to share what type of cancer cells (e.g. adenocarcinoma, signet cell, melanoma, etc.) and…

green stool
For three days now I have had a green stool. I didn't know for sure until today as I usually throw in the paper and flush without checking the toilet first. I see my oncologist Friday, as I had a PET scan last week due to a suspicious spot on my liver. I cannot think of any green food I ate. Do I need to be concerned? The…

Scans
DX 3c in March 2010. My next screening will be 9/22. My question is about CT scans. My last one was at the end of my eleven infusions. End of October 2010 I am under the impression that I will only be getting blood tests. I will have no scans unless there is a change in my baseline marker. CEA? I think. My marker was 1.2…

Folfox 6 toxicity?
I had 10 rounds of Folfox 6 about 18 months ago and tolerated as well as can be expected. Long story short, I have a recurrence and my doctor put me back on it. I had my first treatment last Wednesday and have been deathly ill since then. I went back to him on Friday and spent the day getting IV fluids and anti nausea…

Brooks? I heard he moved to Timbuktu.
Nope… I’m still around and kicking but just not kicking as hard as I used to. LOL I didn’t leave CSN because of the arguing even though the fighting does get old but being what we’re going through I think we all just get a little stressed out. Cancer will do that to a person. I thought I gave everybody a update on my…
