I have scanxiety but would like to know the results. My doctor says he thinks I am responding well to treatment. There is even the possibility that I may…

Itcy skin
When I get hot my face, neck and arms itch like crazy. I've tried Benedryl with no relief, anybody have any ideas or does this happen to anyone else? I take chemo (5FU and Avastin) every other week on Monday. The problem is no worse on the week I take my chemo than the week I don't take chemo. This happens anytime I'm hot,…

Xeloda 5 days on, 2 days off - Anyone?
Hi all - Has anyone tried the "Monday - Friday" Xeloda regimen? Essentially you take Xeloda for 5 days and then take 2 days off - repeat two more times for one cycle. So, in 21 days you actually get 15 treatment days instead of 14, but there are 2 respite days between each set of 5 treatment days. (But, there is no entire…

Metamucil: the new enemy!
Hello! Has anyone tried that metamucil stuff?? I've been having a horrible time with constipation since my takedown. No matter what i eat, and i'm very cautious about what i eat, it turns to paste. The miralax did absolutely nothing, and stool softeners are even less effective. So i decided to give that metamucil garbage a…

They are thinking of building a theme park....
LOL! Last night my beau and I went to a friend's house for a visit on our bikes. Now, to set the stage, my bike was Hans' mother's bike, and the light was just as old... We all had a glass of wine, and sat by the fire outside in the garden. Well, it got to be 11pm, and just had gotten dark. So, we set off for home, me in…

HATE Insurance Companies
Mom's insurance company refused to pay for an even halfway decent rehabilitation facility, so we decided to just go home. She came home Friday, and so far is doing great. Home health comes out to do the wound vac changes. She has 2 drains left, but neither seem to really be draining, so we're hoping she's finally healing!…

UPDATE: Chest Surgeon Visit Went Badly
Hi, Gang It looks a little slow out on the "newsroom" today, so I thought I would post a follow-up on what happened when I had my appointment with the chest surgeon this week. To begin with, they bungled my appointment in a big way. We each took a half day off with no pay to be there for one thing. When we got in, a series…
