When do the drains come out?
HI, Just had surgery on the 25th. Can anyone tell me when does the drains come out. Is it by a certain time, or when the fluid comes out is no longer blood. On my right side, the fluid is not as bloody as my right side. It is more clear fluid. Is that a good sign or not? My pain is almost all gone!

Arimidex causing shoulder pain?
I've been on Arimidex for only about four months. I have constant hot flashes, which seem to be abating somewhat. A little over a week ago, I started having a dull ache under my right shoulder blade. (My lumpectomy was on the left side back in March 2015.) Last night it got really bad. It felt worse when I lay on my left…

Biopsy needed 5 weeks post radiation treatment
I read many post from this board when I was first diagnosised in May 2015. I had a lumpectomy at the end of July and needed a re-excision to get clean margins a week or so later. I went through 7 weeks of radiation with the last week being a "booster" since I still had close margins. That ended in mid October. On Tuesday I…

What is she really feeling?
My wife is an 8 year survivor of her original "in situ" diagnosis and a 3 year survivor of stage IV metastatic breast cancer. Up until now I have always believed that I have been a great caregiver, and I've probably have done a decent job. I support her, I am there for what she needs. But I recently realized that I am…

Broken ribs or infection in connective tissue?
Thursday night getting into bed felt a sharp pain in right rib, chest area, along with like a pop. When my son came home I told him and we decided to go to urgent care. The Foob Report
Many of you know that I had a bilateral prophylactic mastectomy with no reconstruction back in January. Since my surgery, I’ve been just “going flat” and loving the comfort and ease of not wearing a bra. Every morning, I just throw on a shirt and go. But…I am very fortunate to have excellent health insurance, and I happen…

Second local recurrence with no metastasis (yet?)
I am looking for anyone who has been diagnosed with a second local recurrence of breast cancer and the treatment/outcome you experienced. Did it metastasisze? To date have not found a woman with a case similar to mine. I would love to hear your story! In 2000 (at 36) I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma, grade 2,…

Hello everyone! Hey, this is all a very new experience for me and unlike most of you, I'm at the very begining of my jouney. I went for my yearly mammo and luckily enough they found a small enough stage 1 dc form of bc. The biopsy came back double positive and there is a very good chance that I won't need chemo just…

Again, I will post this question for women that have had complete masectomies. Did you have your nipples completely removed? I have the option.
