I have a quote about Peace that has helped me more often than not during this journey. it is derived from this story: There once was a king who offered a prize to the artist who would paint the best picture of peace. Many artists tried but there were only two that the king really liked. One picture was of a calm lake. The…

Just found out today that our 9-year-old yellow lab, Bodhi, has extensive and aggressive cancer in his stomach and lungs. Vet is recommending that we euthanize him before it gets much worse. He doesn't seem to be in too much pain yet, but vet is afraid he will go into seizures and it could get ugly. He is not eating, is…

Ok since I am serious about praying for others who are in this battle with me, I was wondering how you all keep track of who you are praying for. This is harder for people you haven't actually met before. How do you keep it all striaght? Since I have ADD I try to pray for people right off the bat, right when I write…

PET/CT VS NO PET/CT
Hi ALL! Just had one simple question. Why is it that some cancer patients get PET scans and some don't? How many people didn't get one from here? I also notice they don't recommend it unless needed. I wanted to know your thoughts on this. Thanks! Love

I spoke with my mother-in-law this weekend. She completed her rads on Friday! Yay! and she did fine, except for a little soreness from a necklace she wore on Friday to her celebration dinner. She's taking a break for a while, then she has her exchange surgery coming. The bad news...my sister-in-law (also in treatment for…

Need to decide on double mastectomy - please comment
I had a lumpectomy and partial mastectomy last summer. I was unable to complete the recommended rounds of chemo and did not have radiation (both due to medical reasons). My breast surgeon is suggesting that I consider a double mastectomy because of my "suboptimal treatment". My next appointment with her is on April 7th and…
