Lumpectomy on Thursday...what to expect?
I finished chemo on August 12th and am scheduled to have my lumpectomy this coming Thursday. I am a little nervous since it is my first surgery. What should I expect pain wise? General surgeon or surgical oncologist for lumpectomy?
i was just diagnosed with DCIS with a higly suspicious area for microinvasion. The only surgeons in my area are general. I would think that an oncologist would be able to do a better job...ie making sure they get a large enough area, but not too large...etc. Any recommendations?

Yesterday was my 3rd of 6 chemo treatments, I'm officially at the halfway mark now. I get 1 more AC treatment then I get 2 T (and i can't remember what that stands for at the moment, taxotere maybe??) treatments.
